Man shot in Near North Side bike path

A man was shot while on a bike path Monday night in the Near North Side.

About 7:15 p.m., the 28-year-old was sitting in a bike path near the 800 block of North Lake Shore Drive when he heard shots and felt pain, Chicago police said.

He was shot in the buttocks and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition, police said.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
